Wheel of Chemistry Anomalies

Chemistry is quite logical but there exist (annoying) exceptions.


For one, water freezes at 00C (1 atm); however, water has the maximum density at 40C. This makes liquid water denser than ice, which is why ice floats on water! This is known as the anomalous expansion of water.
