How to Predict the Major Product(s) of an Electrophilic Addition Reaction – Part 1

An electrophilic addition (AE) reaction is an addition reaction where a chemical compound containing a double/triple bond has a π bond broken, with the formation of two new σ bonds.

A rearrangement reaction is a broad class of organic reactions which usually involves an intramolecular change of connectivity; and therefore, a modification of carbon skeleton.
